BETHEL ON THE MOVE! During the past 18 months we have: completed a renovation of the building; welcomed to our facility English as a Second Language, a Parkinson's Support Group, a new AA group; contracted to host Head Start; voted to become an Open and Affirming Congregation of the UCC; formed a "Green Team;" reassessed our governance and financial basis; grown our Congregational Development Team; began Roundtables, a monthly discussion of relevant topics; and worshipped, and studied, and served . . .
AND we need your leadership to help us: continue to strengthen our witness to the city and surrounding area; make us a truly intergenerational congregation; fill our ark for Heifer International (it's half way there full -- but what is a cow without a bull?); increase our faith formation offerings; vary our worship experiences; respond to human need wherever it is; transform the systems that stymy us; increase and improve our use of technology . . .
SOME of the things we have done in the past: helped form the Protestant Home, Good Samaritan Home, Habitat for Humanity (both Evansville and International), and United Caring Services; studied our faith: Kerygma, Bethel Bible Series, Spiritual Strategic Journeys; served the wider church as well as other ministries in our area, among them: the IN-KY Conference, Eden Theological Seminary, Hoyleton Children's Home, the YMCA, Sycamore Services, Albion Fellows Bacon Center, Merom Conference and Retreat Center, Appalachia Service Project . . . WE CAN HARDLY WAIT TO SEE WHAT GOD HAS IN STORE FOR US NEXT!
